Materials: 

Hook: Size I/9/5.5 mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge

Yarn: Worsted weight yarn 

• 120 yds grey (A) 
• 40 yds yellow (B) 

Tools: 

• Scissors 
• Tapestry needle

Although this pattern is made with two colors, it can also be made as a one-skein pattern if you choose to use one color.

PATTERN:

With A, ch 5 

Rnd 1: 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each of next 2 chs, 4 sc in last ch, working in bottom of chs, sc in each of next 2 chs, 2 sc in last ch, join with sl st to first st. (12 sc) 

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in first st, 3 sc in next st, sc in each of next 3 sts, 3 sc in next st, sc in next st, 3 sc in next st, sc in each of next 3 sts, 3 sc in last st, join with sl st to first st. (20 sc) 

Rnds 3-17: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join with sl st to first st.

Rnd 18: Ch 15, sk first 10 sts, sl st in next st, leaving remaining sts unworked.

Rnd 19: Ch 1, sc in each st and chain around, join with sl st to first st. (25 sc) 

Rnds 20-27: Ch 1, sc into the next st and each st around. 

Rnds 28-31: Ch 2 (counts as bpdc), fpdc in next st, [bpdc in next st, fpdc in next st] around, join with sl st to first st. 

Fasten off 

Weave in all ends. 

Heel: 

Join yarn with sl st in center bottom of heel opening. 

Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in each st across to 1 st before the corner, sc3tog using next st, corner, and next ch, sc in each ch across to last ch before corner, sc3tog using next ch, corner, and next st, sc in each remaining st around, join with sl st to first st. (21 sts) 

Rnd 2-5: Ch 1, [sc in each st across to last st before sc3tog, sc3tog in next 3 sts] twice, sc in each remaining st around, join with sl st to first st. (5 sts at end of rnd 5 sts) 

Fasten off. 

Turn slipper wrong side out. 

Use tail to sew back of heel closed. 

Weave in ends. 

Turn slipper right side out and fold cuff down. 

Pom Poms 

Make 4 pom poms as follows: 

Wind B around 2 fingers approximately 120 times. 

Slide yarn off fingers and tightly double knot another piece of yarn around the center of the bundle. Leaving the long ends of the tie free, trim the pom pom and fluff until desired shape is achieved. Use the long tails to attach to the cuff of the slipper. 

Sew ends through pom pom and trim so that they blend in.
